We have recently reorganised Adult Social Care services and created our Home First service providing an integrated discharge hub and Reablement service with our NELFT community health partners. In addition we have strengthened our community based Social Work and Occupational Therapy services and created a new long term Social Work team to ensure we provide the right interventions at the right time for our residents. As a result we now have a number of vacancies across the service for Practice Managers, Therapist Managers , Social Workers and Occupational Therapists.
Practice Manager Salary range - £40,869 - £43,860
(An additional retention bonus of £1k is payable after the first six months and a further £1k retention bonus after 12 months )

We are looking for exceptional and committed applicants. You will need to be a highly motivated, knowledgeable and effective social work practitioner or OT, and work in a strengths based and person centred way to promote the wellbeing and independence of the residents of Waltham Forest. You will need a good working knowledge of the Care Act, Mental Capacity Act, safeguarding protocols, Court of Protection work, Deprivation of Liberty safeguards/DoL’s and the Hospital Discharge guidance issued by the Department for Health and Social Care. Plus as an Occupational Therapist you’ll need experience in social care assessment practice, moving and handling, practical experience of the provision of community equipment and major adaptations and associated legislation and management of risk.
You will have a passionate focus on high quality practice and performance, particularly in terms of Care Act assessments and reviews, the timely conclusion of safeguarding cases, and assessments under the Hospital Discharge guidance and Disabled Facilities Grant legislation for existing and new service users. You will have regular supervision and access to a broad range of training , support and development opportunities including mentorship and post graduate apprenticeship options.
