Technology is key to Hertsmere’s corporate strategy and we are looking for someone to be the driving force behind the technological development that supports the delivery of all Council services whilst ensuring the security, resilience and efficient use of our systems. We have an ambitious IS Strategy and we are looking for a dynamic individual who can engage and collaborate across services to deliver on this vision. 

We are looking to recruit an experienced, qualified IDS Manager to manage our busy Information and Digital Services team. The role is responsible for setting strategy; governing the direction and conduct of project management for IT projects; resource management within the section; authorising allocation of resources for programmes and projects, and maintaining an overview on their contribution to organisational success.

You will ideally have a relevant industry related management qualification and have extensive experience of project management within a senior managerial role in the IS Function. You will have the necessary skills to manage and motivate a team and communicate at all levels, adapting your style accordingly. Negotiating and influencing skills are key to this role as is the ability to think creatively when considering digital and development initiatives.
