Family Worker

Children’s Centre Family Worker - Grade 6

37 hours/Week

Fixed term contract

 Our Children's Centres are part of a borough-wide Integrated Early Help Service and provide a wide range of services for families with children pre-birth up to the age of 5. You’ll play a key role in providing effective 1-1 support for families who are in need of professional help in their own homes, within our centres and in the community.

 Using the Signs of Safety model we’ll look to you to provide advice, support and practical help with all aspects of life associated with parenting, you’ll deliver parenting courses and model positive parenting using EYFS principles to ensure that children are given opportunities to reach their full potential. You’ll also be co-working with a wide range of statutory and voluntary agencies to deliver services which provide relevant guidance and information.

 It’s essential for you to have an NVQ level 3 in Early Years (or equivalent), sound knowledge of current issues relating to children under the age of 5 and the principles of the Early Years Foundation Stage.
