The job role

Working within a small Asset Management Team, this post is a dynamic and varied Senior role, encompassing Asset Management liaising with leaseholders and tenants and managing these groups, reviewing leases and updating the Estate Management property records.

Support the Asset Team in being efficient to deliver its duties day to day with emphasis on small and medium projects and, asset disposal, acquisition and lease negotiations.

The wider team covers Building Surveying and Facilities Management duties for council owned assets. There will be a requirement to offer support to these services and make recommendations to promote joined up investment where appropriate in our property to ensure it is efficiently managed, fit for purpose and able to meet the changing needs of the community and staff.

The ideal candidate will be qualified or a graduate from an RICS Accredited Degree surveying discipline, working towards professional membership. Relevant experience in a property or building related role will be considered.

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate excellent customer focus and liaison skills with colleagues, community groups, residents, contractors, councillors, key stakeholders and consultants. You will need to provide a proactive service along with an enthusiastic team working approach to maximising best efficient use from council owned assets.

You will carry out inspections using software and prepare reports to assist in the development of capital programme for planned maintenance works with ability to develop specifications for defined projects and manage delivery.
