Job Title: Project Officer - Public Health, Healthy Hubs
Location: County Hall, Hertford & Farnham House, Stevenage
Salary Range: £25,481 pa progressing to £27,741 pa
Hours: 37 per week
Contract: 2 Year Fixed Term/Secondment (with additional 3rd year in principle)

The Role
The Hertfordshire Public Health Team are recruiting a Project Officer to join our Project Management Team to support the development of an established network of Healthy Hubs across Hertfordshire. You will work supporting their work with the district and borough councils to improve the health and wellbeing of Hertfordshire residents within the District Partnership to enable service delivery and improve the quality of services for Hertfordshire residents.

You will report to the Project Manager and the focus of your work will be to support our healthy hubs initiative. This role will support, monitor and manage the Healthy Hubs and Health Inequalities projects with the Project Manager.  This is a unique role that will suit a self-starter who will thrive on taking ownership and responsibility by supporting the Project Manager.

The focus of your work will be to help prepare project documentation and project plans incorporating risk management.  You will monitor and report progress against key dates and milestones.  Essential qualities for this role include an eye for detail, a methodical approach to work, and confidence in managing different stakeholders. Working collaboratively on problem-solving and applying negotiation and influencing skills is another important aspect of this role.

You will be self-motivated with good organisational skills and have the ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing. You will need to build excellent relations with multiple organisations and be able to resolve or escalate issues in a timely manner.

There are no specific qualifications required for this job although experience in project management would be beneficial. We’re looking for someone with a strong commitment to promoting health lifestyles.
