Job Title: Senior HR Officer
Location: County Hall, Hertford with hybrid working
Salary Range: £35,745 progressing to £39,880 per annum
Hours: 37 per week
Contract: Permanent

Job Duties:

We have an opportunity for a Senior HR Officer to join our In-House Recruitment Team, who will be a strategic recruitment lead for the Council.

In a highly competitive job marketplace, you’ll work closely with hiring managers including senior management, to deliver innovative and efficient solutions for their hiring needs, across our directorates.

This is an exciting time for you to bring your wealth of recruitment experience, to proactively work with the business to identify new recruitment strategies. You’ll be recruiting anything from senior management to high volume recruitment campaigns. Ensuring we aim to be both efficient and effective in everything that we do, delivering the best possible service is essential, therefore evaluating and sharing learning will be embedded in what you do. You’ll be highly organised with excellent relationship building skills with all levels of management.

The environment is fast paced, so being able to adapt, prioritise and delegate work, accordingly, taking responsibility for your actions is key. In an everchanging market, you’ll need to have sound understanding of current recruitment trends and best practice including Diversity and Inclusion.

You’ll be managing a small team of strategic recruiters, so you’ll be leading by example, encouraging, and empowering sharing of ideas on how to make improvements, and contributing to a learning environment where staff are encouraged to develop both themselves and others.

We recruit to a variation of roles, which could be anything from Planners to Firefighters. Our In-House team recruit to the following services:
