Do you like working in a fast pace and challenging environment and have a passion for Building Surveying? We are looking to appoint a Building Surveyor to work in the growing Minor Projects team. The role will include all aspects of surveying including surveying, design, management of building contractors and delivery of construction projects. The team deliver all capital projects (non housing) for the council up to the value of £1m. The council believe in agile working and you will be provided all the equipment you need to work in or away from the office.
To make the grade you will have a proven track record of Building Surveying, be qualified to degree level and be a professional member of CIOB RICS, CABE or meet the full criteria for acquiring it. The succesful candidate must have a sound working knowledge of Planning/ Building Regulations, British Standards, construction building techniques, CDM & H&S regulations. You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and be an expert in managing your own workload. You will also need a good work ethic, even under pressure, be conscientious and hard-working and prepared to work as part of a team. As well as all this we would expect you to take great pride in a job well done.
