We are recruiting a Senior Finance Officer to join the Place and Communities team within financial support following the present post holder gaining an internal promotion.


This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated person to join the Place and Communities Team, within the Resources Directorate as a Senior Finance Officer to provide financial support for the Place & Communities Directorate. This role supports both revenue and high-profile capital projects such as the building of integrated Health and Care hubs, leisure centres and major road schemes which provide benefits to local communities.


This is a permanent position supporting the Senior Finance Business Partner working with managers within the Place and Communities Directorate to deliver financial management and financial planning.


You will have strong analytical and financial modelling skills and be able to use business intelligence to develop and evaluate options. You will be an excellent communicator and good team player with knowledge and experience of local government. Experience of SAP is desirable but not essential.
