Abbey Court caters for pupils aged 3-19 with Severe Learning Difficulties, and is currently located on 2 Strood sites; Nursery & Primary (Cliffe Road) and Secondary & Further Education (Rede Court Road). Facilities include an on-site school farm.
The Finance Manager will be responsible for the strategic and operational management of this busy finance department. The role will include line management of a small finance team (2 colleagues) who oversee all aspects of financial support to the school, including order and invoicing, month end procedures and budget monitoring. The post holder will work closely with, and report to, the School Business Leader.
This position would suit somebody with a flexible and energetic approach who enjoys working as part of a committed and supportive team. Colleagues will be supported with their CPD.
Working hours are 37 per week 52 weeks per year. Comprehensive training and induction will be provided and a recognised financial qualification is preferred. Experience of school financial management would be beneficial but not essential.
Due to the conditions and complex needs of the pupils at Abbey Court School, continuity and consistency of support is paramount and therefore candidates for all positions will need to commit to the full working hours of the post.
