About the role

An opportunity has arisen for an HR Consultant to work on the Care and Social Work Recruitment strategy, alongside our team of recruitment and equalities specialists within HR.

Are you interested in project work in the field of recruitment?  Would you like to have an impact in recruiting a care workforce that represents our diverse City?

We have an exciting opportunity to undertake project work to increase recruitment to our care and social work workforce.  Recruitment to care and social work is a challenge across the UK and within the City.  Working closely with Health and Adult Social Care service leaders we are looking to ensure that we can create opportunities for managers to use creative and successful recruitment solutions to ensure our vulnerable adults continue to receive the high quality care they need.

You will be working on projects to increase successful recruitment into our care and social work workforce, increase the diversity of our workforce to better represent all the communities we serve and help to promote working in care as a career pathway into health and social care professions.   We are therefore looking for someone with excellent communication skills, personal resilience and the ability to build strong working relationships with customers whilst contributing to the successful outcomes for the programme. In return, you will have the opportunity to build experience of working on a high profile project, to work alongside our experienced recruitment and equalities specialists and expand on skills in this area, to gain project management skills and to work closely with senior management in a strategic space.

Key Skills Include:

  • Communicating effectively with customers, colleagues, and external partners, including the ability to quickly develop credibility and strong relationships with key stakeholders.  Confident to take an active role leading focus groups and recruitment events.
  • Solution focussed with a commitment to achieving outcomes in a short timeframe
  • Demonstrating a commitment to promoting diversity and inclusion in the workplace and ensuring this is projected in all interactions.
  • Organised and ability to work independently and take accountability for keeping projects on track with the support of the HRBP

Although this role involves working and collaborating with our HR team you will be given the tools to work independently and flexibly to deliver on high profile projects.  You do not need an HR background to apply but will need to be able to demonstrate comparable skills
