Job Title: EHC Coordinator
Location: Hertfordshire - Based in Hemel Hempstead, Hertford or Stevenage
Salary Range: £28,266 - £30,984 pa dependent on experience (pro rata for part-time)
Hours: 37 / 30 per week
Contract: Permanent or 12 Months Fixed Term (Mat Cover)

It’s a really exciting time to join the new statutory SEND team in Hertfordshire to help make our vision a reality!


We’re looking for professionals with experience of working with parents and schools who can build our relationships with families and professionals, and work on continuous quality improvements to our service.

The SEND service has been completely re-designed, with dedicated services for assessment, reviews and outcomes, and resolution and reconciliation, with an increased focus on coproduction with families and working closely with schools and professionals. This will help our EHC Coordinators to balance the complex and varied work in SEND and develop their skills in a chosen area.

Our EHC Coordinators deliver high quality casework to ensure that we are meeting the needs of children and young people with SEND 0-25 years in line with the SEND Code of Practice, statutory responsibilities and the authority’s policies and strategies.

You will be educated to A level or equivalent as a minimum, with a knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice and the Children and Families Act 2014.  You will have excellent communication skills, a high level of literacy to support good case recording and quality EHC plans. You’ll also benefit from experience of working with schools to deliver SEND provision, or experience of coproduction with parents. You’ll be committed to developing relationships with parents, and professionals across education, health and care as this is a key element of the role.

You must also hold a current driving licence and have access to a vehicle for work.
