About the role

The City Region is seeking an experienced Business Manager to support the Greater Brighton Economic Board and its work on high profile projects such as its investment programme, project pipeline and liaison and lobbying of central government.

We have trailblazing plans that range from backing digital innovation projects through promoting pioneering hydrogen energy work to holding ambitious goals to become a quantum computing centre of the future.  You will work with representatives from central, regional and local government, senior council officers, private and public sector stakeholders and with council officers and agencies from across the partnership. The role requires an individual with the ability to be both strategic and operational.

You will be working in a complex political environment and will need experience in building effective working relationships spanning organisational hierarchies, structures, and geographical boundaries. You must possess sound research and analytical skills along with excellent written and oral communication along with the ability to commission and oversee consultants and contractors.

This post is flexible and can be filled on either a full time or part time basis.

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is less than 37 hours or term-time only.
