The Governors and Headteacher of J H Godwin Primary School are seeking to appoint a highly motivated caretaker, who takes pride in their work and our school environment. The successful candidate will get on well with others, be happy to work a split shift and be keen to work both indoors and outside.
The post holder should wish to continually improve the school site, completing safety and building checks and maintain the security of the site with opening and closing duties at the beginning and the end of the day. The role begins at 7.15am with key holding tasks and checking the site is safe for all users and in the evening, includes repleshing hygiene dispensers and completing safety checks and securing the site for the next day.
At our school, a caring and professional approach is needed when working alongside pupils, parents, staff, governors, visitors and contractors and whilst previous experience could be an advantage it is not a requirement for applications.

The successful candidate will support the safeguarding ethos, which is a high priority throughout our school and will be subject to enhance DBS and reference checks. Appointment is subject to pre-employment checks, health questionnaire and Right to Work checks.

Hours are 7:14-9:45am 5:00-6:00pm (3.5 per day) but this has a possibility to increase or include overtime in the future.
