Senior Social Worker - Children's Advice and Support Services (CASS)

CASS is proud to be able to offer an exciting opportunity for a full time, Grade 5, Senior Social Worker. We are a fast-paced team, who work core hours of 8.45 to 5.15pm Monday to Thursday, 8.45 to 4.15pm on a Friday, and we work city wide in Birmingham.

Your role would involve processing referrals that have come through from different agencies, including members of the public and family. You will undertake relevant background work and checks prior to case progression. Information comes from different sources, for example, calls and emails. Understanding of threshold, in particular around Right Help Right Time is vital, as is the ability to collate information quickly and make evidence-based decisions for each case. We work closely with partner agencies, and your team will be in the office a minimum of once a week to be able to continue to develop relationships with your colleagues and our partner agencies in CASS and MASH.

We are privileged to have a stable workforce, therefore opportunities in CASS are few and far between, so if you are ready to take on the challenges of a different approach to social work, apply now!

Interviews will take place on 14th and 15th June 2022
