This is an exciting opportunity for enthusiastic, flexible, hard-working, extremely organised and self-motivated individuals with excellent skills to join the Building Projects Team within the Council’s Assets Service.
As an experienced professional operating in the construction industry you will be responsible for delivery of projects of varying sizes and differing degrees of complexities. The role could see the successful Individual undertaking major refurbishment projects on public buildings or large-scale extensions to increase capacity in our schools You will oversee projects through the complete RIBA project lifecycle and taking the stakeholders along the journey with you. From project appraisals to delivery and final account.
The role will see the successful candidate completing and delivering project appraisals to clients. You will be required to undertake building surveys, complete CAD drawings and gather detailed survey information. From the survey information you will need to complete specifications, schedules of works, cost projections, site visits and final accounts. You will be required to complete reports to a high level and follow all statutory requirements.
You will be responsible for ensuring CDM Legislation is adhered to on projects and providing H&S advice to clients on their responsibilities. It is essential you hold RICS Qualifying Building Surveying Degree / H&S Qualification (NEBOSH or equivalent) and member of the RICS.
The role will require excellent communication skills so that project updates are provided to clients and stakeholders as and when required.
