The City of Goal-Setters

The City of London Corporation is a unique place. Supporting the incredible businesses and residents
that reside in this iconic borough, we are focused on doing the best for everyone. That work starts with ensuring we have the funds needed to provide exceptional services to our local community, so the work of the City Revenues team is absolutely vital.

As a member of this ambitious department, you will lead likeminded Revenues Officers in the
administration, billing, collection and recovery of revenues, with a particular focus on Business Rates
(NNDR). Allocating work and guiding the team in the interpretation of both regulations and legislation,
you will help us achieve our ambitious collection targets.
Enforcement actions will be a key part of this role, so we will expect you to have a part or full IRRV
qualification, or relevant Revenues Administration experience – plus you will understand the nuances of interviewing taxpayers and representing us in court. Highly numerate with great analytical and writing skills, you will be the type of leader who knows how to get the best out of your team.
In return, you can look forward to a competitive benefits package, plus excellent career opportunities.

This role requires a basic DBS check.

Closing date: Monday 6 June 2022, 12 pm noon.
