We are looking for a Solicitor, Barrister or Legal Executive, with knowledge and experience of Litigation, Housing, Planning or Licensing law, preferably gained in a Local Government environment.  The post would suit a qualified professional with one to three years’ experience.

Reporting to the Senior Lawyer and Deputy Monitoring Officer in the Litigation and Regulatory Team, the successful candidate will be located in Worthing and be responsible for advising on housing, planning and licensing law, dealing with general litigation matters, conducting advocacy, researching and analysing legislation, advising on its interpretation and providing innovative, proactive and enabling advice to Officers and Members of the Councils.

The post will be based in Worthing town centre.  The Councils operate flexible working practices.  Some evening work is required.

For an informal discussion, please email Geoff Wild, Head of Legal Services and Monitoring Officer,
