Teaching Assistant

We are looking to recruit 2 x Teaching Assistants to assist with the day to day running and organisation of our Nursery, Before and After School Club AND our Holiday Club.

The ideal candidates will have experience of working within the EYFS, and will be fully fluent with the Early Years Curriculum and the aims and goals of it. The job involves working with 2-5 year old pupils, planning and implementing learning and creative activities for children.  Candidates will also work as an effective member of our Out of School Club team.  Successful applicants will deliver a high quality, inclusive play and care centred service that meets the needs of children aged between 2 and 11 and their families, in line with the club’s policies and procedures, the National Standards for Out of School Care and statutory guidance on Safeguarding Children. 

The successful candidates will have good communication skills, be able to work as part of a team and be able use their own initiative.

HOURS OF WORK:

Post 1:                   7:15am to 12:30pm         5 hours 15 minutes  per day / 26 hours 15 minutes per week

Post 2:                   12:30pm to 6:00pm         5 hours 30 minutes / 27 hours 30 minutes per week

This is a full year position (52 weeks).  Holiday entitlement: 4 Weeks per annum. Grade 4.

Candidates must hold a CACHE Level 3 or equivalent qualification, Paediatric 1st Aid certificate and must have proven experience of working within a busy Nursery or Out of School Club.

Food Hygiene Certificate desirable but not essential.
