Newly formed North Northants Council's Tech, Digital and Data service is looking for customer-focused and dedicated individuals to join our dedicated and ambitious team. Our new team has big plans and ambitions to be an inspirational local government IT service and we need great people to help us achieve our goals.

If you love ICT and you're looking for a new challenge, an opportunity has arisen to join our ICT technical team and we are looking for current or aspiring Senior Systems Engineer.

You will be supporting the IT infrastructure of the authority which currently hosts approximately 1800 staff across North Northants Council. Our customers have many varied service and customer facing roles, and they rely on us to keep their technology working so they can continue to do the amazing work they do for the residents of North Northamptonshire.

You will be joining a team of systems engineers and the role will mainly involve maintaining the current infrastructure as well as picking up technical work streams from the various projects that will be shaping the future of NNCs ICT services. If that sounds like you, don't hesitate to put in an application. It could just be the career you were looking for in local government.

We are passionate about developing and supporting our infrastructure to a high standard, enabling staff throughout the authority to deliver outstanding service to the public. Working with us will mean working as part of a team of people who will listen and appreciate your ideas and help make them happen. We also provide a generous pension and annual leave allowance.

We value flexible working and work-life balance, and you will have opportunities to work from home when possible. However, you will also need to provide support to technical systems throughout the authority and will regularly be working all over North Northamptonshire, such as in Thrapston, Kettering, Corby and Wellingborough, so having the ability to travel between sites is important.
