These roles present an opportunity to join the service at a pivotal point in its development and work with a highly skilled and motivated team who are committed to providing robust, quality services that effect real change in the overall wellbeing of residents in housing need.

We are seeking a strong, organised and motivated individual to deliver a proactive, outcome focused response to homelessness issues within Epping Forest.

As the Senior Homelessness Officer, you will be responsible for the day to day operations of a team of Homelessness Officers ensuring that you deliver positive solutions to complex problems. You will hold regular case supervision sessions with staff, you will specialise in and have a detailed understanding and awareness of the Housing Act 1996 (as amended) and the Homelessness Reduction Act 2017 including related Codes of Guidance and case law.

You will be a strong team player who is able to respond creatively in a challenging environment, dedicated to the pursuit of homelessness prevention by promoting early intervention.

The successful candidate will have experience of consistently achieving performance targets in conjunction with prioritising a varying and busy workload. You will also be able to evidence a demonstrable focus for improving services and will be instrumental in shaping and implementing new processes.

Above all else, if you are a team player that can operate on their own initiative, have excellent communication, strong relationship building skills and the aptitude to deliver an outstanding service, then we want to hear from you!

Please note that this role is subject to a basic DBS check.

Epping Forest District Council is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
