We are looking for an exceptional housing professional to lead our housing options and strategy team and support the Councils wider vision and priorities.

Working closely with colleagues internally and across Leicestershire you will ensure the delivery of a high-quality housing service that responds to the needs of residents and builds on our prevention offer and digital services.
This is an exciting time as the Council is about to submit plans to build nine flats in Market Harborough and you will be be integral to this project, working closely with the Asset team to design and manage a growing portfolio of properties to meet homelessness duties and enable the council to provide more move-on opporutnties.
You will have skills in leadership and management and strong knowledge of current legislation and best practice. Reporting to the Services Manager you will develop policy, new ways of working and build relationships with partners to prevent homelessness and increase the supply of affordable housing in the district which meets the short and longer term needs of residents.
To support you in this exciting and challeging role the Council operates an agile working policy with an emphasis on home working and coming into the office as and when necessary.
DBS clearance will be required for this post and you will need access to a suitable vehicle. Some evening meetings will be required.
