Hertfordshire’s Children Services has successfully achieved a “Good” rating from Ofsted. In the most recent Ofsted focussed visit (July 21) they report that The Specialist Adolescent Service Hertfordshire (SASH) has emerged as an essential frontline safeguarding service. The service skilfully works with children who are exposed to some of the riskiest situations. SASH workers are skilled and tenacious in their efforts to establish effective relationships with children and their families.

Due to the expansion of the workforce, an exciting opportunity has arisen for full-time Social Workers in the Specialist Adolescent Support Hub (SASH).
There are vacancies in 3 teams: St Albans and Dacorum (West) and Watford, Three Rivers & Hertsmere (South) and Broxbourne, Welwyn and Hatfield (East)
SASH service works exclusively with 11–17-year-olds at risk of:
- Criminal Exploitation
- Sexual Exploitation
- Coming into care
- Returning home after a period in care
This is a challenging but rewarding post and you will have the opportunity to work with experienced colleagues who are committed to supporting young people at a crisis in their lives and vulnerable to exploitation.
You will be working with adolescents and will be part of a multi-agency group of staff working to help improve outcomes for both young people and their family.
You will be a qualified Social Worker educated to degree level or the equivalent and registered with Social Work England.
