Housing Scheme Manager – Older People

Fixed term contract for 9 months (maternity cover) 
Streatham and Thornton Heath

If you’re enthusiastic about enabling older people to stay independent and enjoy working on your own, join us as a Sheltered Housing Scheme Manager in our ‘outstanding’ rated Independent Living Service. You’ll be supporting residents to live healthy and happy lives and ensuring the scheme is a safe place to live. 

You’ll support social activities for residents, deliver support plans and work with other professionals to ensure older residents remain independent. You’ll also manage all the health & safety compliance within the scheme, including building security and fire checks and inspections of communal areas, so that residents are secure and safe.

You’ll work across two of our Older Persons Independent Living schemes in South West London in Streatham and Thornton Heath. You may be required to cover other London schemes if required.  

Please note that this post is being offered on a 9-month fixed term contract (maternity cover) working 36 hours a week.

What you'll need
You’ll be a great communicator, and able to form relationships with a wide range of people, from residents to other agencies, to generate effective solutions to problems. You’ll put residents at the heart of what you do and be focused on delivering excellent service with a ‘can do approach’.

You’ll also have excellent time management skills and be used to working on your own initiative. In this fast paced, varied role you’ll be able to effectively prioritise and manage your time, including being able to regularly travel between sites.
