We are looking for an experienced IT Systems Administrator to lead and support the delivery of a number of key business applications.
The purpose of the role is to provide effective support and development to services in the use of applications they need to deliver their business objectives.
Good experience in leading and supporting applications is necessary and experience of IDOX Uniform, Dude Solutions Confirm and/or Imperial Parking systems would be of benefit.
Excellent organisational, planning and communication skills are needed to be successful in this role. The post holder will also need skills in managing service and supplier relationships to deliver effective application support.
The role requires a high degree of customer interaction, business consultancy and trouble shooting. The role reports directly to the IT Service Delivery Manager.
The ideal candidate should have a background in applications support, systems administration or technical support. The candidate should have:
- Good experience of installation, administration, upgrading and supporting key applications
- Good working knowledge of application and database concepts
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft 365 products
- experience of working within an IT technical support role and some level of systems deployment
- strong communication, interpersonal and presentational skills
- be hands on, pro-active and enthusiastic
- local government experience would be an advantage
We run a largely virtualized server estate and are our core tools and applications are Office 365 based. We are just in the process of completing a migration to SharePoint and Window 10 endpoints. The Council has an ambitious transformation programme, which includes moving to Cloud delivered solutions where possible, albeit some of our legacy systems still run on-premise.
The role will work in a hybrid way – partly remote and partly office-base and offers an opportunity to develop your career at Rushmoor Borough Council.
