Apprentice LGV Engineer
Halton Borough Council has an excellent reputation for developing Apprentices, the Authority view apprenticeships as a journey from being a novice into a role of a fully qualified Engineer.
The position also has the added advantage of developing the successful applicant as person within a local Authority environment.
This is an excellent opportunity for a committed person to complete a Full Plant Engineering Apprenticeship with a local Authority and to have the added advantage of undertaking the training and development over a 60 month fixed term contract period.
The main duties will include:
- The repair and maintenance of all Vehicle and Plant operated by the Authority.
- To work in safe and efficient manner at all times.
- Ensuring that the work area is clean and tidy before or after completion of all maintenance duties.
- Shadowing and working with a fully qualified and experienced Vehicle Engineer.
Future Prospects:
With our fantastic training and on-going support this will be a pathway to commence with a nationally recognised Heavy Vehicle Service & Maintenance Technician Level 3 qualification.
Specialist Training Courses associated with equipment operated by the Authority will also be introduced as the trainee develops.
