Development Manager

Job Title: Development Manager Complex Needs (NRPF) – Adult Care

Location: Farnham House, Stevenage (with occasional travel to other locations)

Salary: £46,998 with the opportunity of progressing to a maximum of £52,220 pa

Hours: 37 hours per week

Contract: 24 months Fixed Term or Secondment

 The role

The Strategic Partnerships Team is seeking to recruit a highly motivated Development Manager within the Adult Care Directorate to work with the Senior Development Manager on the implementation of the Hertfordshire Supporting Adults with Complex Needs Strategy, with a focus on adults with restricted eligibility (also referred to as ‘No Recourse to Public Funds’). This includes people with pre-settled status, who are destitute or at risk of homelessness.

You will be leading on developing a Hertfordshire policy, working closely with the Principal Social Worker to develop a pan Hertfordshire approach.

This is a new and exciting initiative, working with key internal and external partners across Housing, Adult Social Care Teams, Health, and the Voluntary Sector. Taking into account legislation and good practice, the policy will seek to address: -

  • Roles and responsibilities of public sector organisations
  • A funding framework
  • Guidance for practitioners
  • Referral pathways for accommodation, support, and specialist advice to achieve sustainable outcomes

Alongside subject expertise, the role will necessitate strong research and policy development skills, with an ability to work at a strategic level with senior officers across different organisations.

Proven experience in effective partnerships working towards shared objectives and a commitment to driving lasting change, is essential. This is a varied role working in a fast-paced environment.

In return we can offer you excellent pension and benefits whilst working for an organisation that values its employees and invests in training and career development opportunities.

If you are applying for a secondment, please ensure that you have your manager’s permission before submitting your application.
