This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in delivering the infrastructure that the community needs. This role is to ensure the growing portfolio of Section 106 planning agreements and the financial contributions received from developers will continue to be well managed into the future.
We are looking for someone with a positive, dynamic and ‘can-do’ outlook that is able to manage databases and work with partners to get results. You will be empowered to improve the operation of this service in a supportive environment, and there is real scope to apply your ideas and innovation and really influence how this service will operate in the future.
As part of the Strategic & Local Planning Team you will be responsible for:
- Coordinating Planning Obligations (Section 106 agreements), potentially amounting to many thousands of pounds,
- monitoring development progress across the District,
- securing payments of significant sums of money from developers and
- working with key partners to ensure the Infrastructure is delivered on the ground.
Ideally, you will be a member of the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI), or eligible for early membership.
The successful applicant will have a full drivers licence and access to an appropriately insured vehicle. Occasional attendance at evening meetings will be required.
