The Board of Governors at Dawpool Church of England (Aided) Primary School are seeking to recruit a permanent, full time Key Stage One teacher from 31st October 2022, or earlier if possible, initially for a Year 1 class. This is a unique opportunity for a talented and ambitious teacher to join our team.
Dawpool Primary School serves the local community of Thurstaston and Irby and is situated in a unique and beautiful rural setting, nestled into Thurstaston Hill on the edge of Royden Park.

We are looking for an inspiring teacher who can care about, enthuse and motivate our children, delivering excellent teaching and learning. A keen interest in supporting the school’s PE curriculum and contributing to extra-curricular sport would be an advantage.
The successful candidate will have:
A keen interest in working in a Church of England school.
Commitment to promoting and enhancing the school’s distinctive Christian vision and values.
Recent experience of teaching in Key Stage One.
Excellent skills in teaching phonics, early literacy and mathematics.
A proven track record of delivering high quality teaching and learning across the curriculum.
The ability to provide a nurturing learning environment and excellent pastoral care.
