The starting salary for this role is £23,243 per annum for working 36 hours per week.

About the Role
This exciting new post is part of our music administration team who help support the delivery of music teaching to thousands of children across Surrey both in school and after school.
As a Music Administration Assistant, you will undertake a variety of administrative duties including:
- Working with teachers, schools and parents to schedule music lessons and activities
- Maintaining accurate records on our central database
- Build and maintain strong relationships with schools across Surrey
- Be first point of contact for customers via phone and email
- Support area teams with administration of ensembles, workshops and events
- Support the service at large scale events
- Be prepared to work occasional evening or weekends to support at events. Time off in lieu will be given.
The Ideal Candidate
First and foremost, you will be motivated and passionate about working for Surrey County Council and must have demonstrably successful experience in an administrative role. You will be proactive and able to use your own initiative. You will also show a commitment to your own personal development and training.
- Have previous experience of working in a busy office environment
- Have excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to communicate positively and effectively with different stakeholders, including the general public, schools, and the Surrey Arts team
- Be well organised and able to work under pressure, on occasion to tight deadlines
- Have excellent IT skills including using modern cloud-based IT systems, data entry skills, and experience of using CRM systems
- Be used to working accurately and methodically
- Able to work both autonomously and as part of the wider Surrey Arts team
- Have a 'can-do', problem solving and collaborative approach
- Be committed to an inclusive agenda and hold equality, diversity and inclusion at the heart of your work.
