In our Systems team, development of staff is a key focus. You’ll work with people from a wide range of professional backgrounds who can help develop your skills and knowledge.
As a Finance Systems Support Officer, you’ll build on your current Finance knowledge and undertake a variety of transactions relating to Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Income Manager and you’ll act as a point of contact for responding to and answering supplier queries.
You’ll also support on the maintenance of the Council’s Accounting System (Unit 4 Businessworld - Agresso) to ensure that all of the data input is accurate to maintain the integrity of the system.
As you’ll be interacting with staff of all levels, you’ll ability to communicate financial issues with non-accounting staff and you’ll need a high attention to detail as well as knowledge of the different types of income received through the bank and other sources as well as how to process them.
Please note that there is the potential to study AAT Qualifications in this role and determine which area of Finance you would like to progress in.
This role will be based at our Council Offices, Argyle Road, Sevenoaks Kent TN13 1HG. We currently operate a hybrid working model for the majority of our roles where your working time will be divided between the office (2-3 days) and home working (2-3 days).
