Fixed term contract (September 2022 – March 2023)
18 hours per week: (6 hours on Tuesday 3pm – 9pm and 6 hours on Thursday 3pm – 9pm) remaining 6 hours can be negotiated or be on the same days.
Waltham Forest 0-18 Early Help Service is recruiting a Youth Worker in Charge to lead and deliver activities and opportunities at our young carers clubs which part of our dedicated programme.
The programme offers a number of respite activities and opportunities for young carers and their families. This includes regular club sessions, offsite activities, residential trips, workshops, accredited learning, and development opportunities.
The Youth Worker in Charge will be required to lead the team in delivering a structured developmental programme which will be enjoyable, beneficial and opportunity for our young carers to develop their skills, confidence, knowledge and awareness.
They will lead a small team of sessional workers, volunteers and support staff. They will be expected and required to develop projects, undertake session reviews and consultation, manage the day-to-day operational aspect of the young carers club. This will also require some weekend and term holiday availability.
