Events and Culture Apprentice

£9,781 per annum, increasing in the second year

Do you have a passion for outdoor events, arts and culture and would like to work in the sector?

Rushmoor Borough Council runs an exciting programme of over 80 outdoor events and arts projects annually, promoting the borough as a great place to live, visit and work.

The Council is looking for a highly organised Culture and Events Apprentice who is committed and enthusiastic about culture, arts and events. The apprentice will support us in creating a vibrant borough and revitalising our town centres.

We’re looking for an outstanding candidate to join our small team and get involved with events.  The role is fast paced and highly varied, therefore the suitable candidate will be organised, proactive, efficient and mature in their approach.

Working closely with the Events and Cultural Projects Manager and the Town Centres Manager, the role will provide administrative, organisational, marketing and operational support. The apprentice will work on arts, heritage and tourism activities, alongside outdoor events, ranging from small projects to large scale projects.

You’ll get great support to help you achieve success and develop your confidence, and you’ll be working towards a Level 3 Events Assistant apprenticeship with Artswork, starting in September 2022.

If you are self-motivated, highly organised with excellent attention to detail and excited by the opportunity above, please apply today!

This role is a two-year fixed term apprenticeship, 37 hours per week (including weekends and evenings), with a starting salary of £9,781 per annum, increasing in the second year. Attendance at activities will necessitate working at different locations and venues, some of which may include outdoor working and in different weather conditions.

If you have any specific questions about the role then please contact Jenny Atherton via email -

Closing date for applications midnight on Sunday 14 August.
