This is an exciting opportunity to join the Adur & Worthing Wellbeing Team and play your part in promoting and supporting local people to live healthier lifestyles.
Adur and Worthing Wellbeing are looking for a highly motivated person to work as part of the team, working with adults, to provide advice and guidance to individuals and groups to enable long term lifestyle behaviour change.
Using behaviour change techniques, the post holder will work with individuals to set goals and priorities which will lead to a reduction in their risk of long term health conditions: heart disease / stroke, cancer and type 2 diabetes. This will include one-to-one sessions and group work with clients and promotional work such as giving talks, attending events and taking an active role in health promotion campaigns.
Referring/signposting people to relevant organisations will be key to this role.
In addition, you will develop, deliver and lead on the smoking cessation service interventions in order to prevent health conditions caused directly from smoking. Full training will be provided to the successful candidate.
This post is subject to an enhanced DBS check with adult barred.
