Housing Needs Administrator
Starting salary £22,335pa with potential progression to £24,174pa on achieving designated skills and experience
Welwyn Hatfield Housing Needs Service is looking for a flexible, motivated individual to join our Housing Needs Team. You will work within the Council’s Housing Options team, helping customers and providing administrative and technical support to colleagues. You will assist customers with enquiries made over the telephone, email and in person. You will be responsible for handling sensitive customer information and demonstrate an understanding of data protection regulations and principles.
You will have the ability to deal with several aspects of office administration, including filing, photocopying, distributing and recording post, data entry onto IT systems and raising of purchase orders.
We are looking for someone with:
- An interest in providing high quality public services to the local community
- Experience of working on the front line in a customer focused environment.
- The ability to work under own initiative to find solutions to problems on a regular basis.
- Experience of working with several IT systems and learning new systems to a high standard
- Excellent communication, customer service and interpersonal skills.
