We are seeking to recruit an outstanding Business Intelligence Manager to deliver on our new vision for performance data. We are reimagining our Business Intelligence service delivery as the critical driver behind effective decision making across the directorate. You will lead a key element of this ambitious and creative process.
You build and maintain dashboards in Power BI, Business Objects and other tools for visualisation and SQL/SSRS to extract and provide all necessary information from Liquid Logic and other databases.
You and the team will be building up our Business Intelligence infrastructure with the goal to enhance data-driven decisions for the directorate
You can manage the balance between required data points capture, data quality, and user’s error.
You will enable management to access data needed to gain insights and make data-driven decisions. You will be an experienced team leader who is able to get the most out of your team
The service is primarily based in Laurence House, 1 Catford Rd, London, SE6 4RU, however we operate a hybrid approach as determined by service requirements.
What we’re looking for
A strategically astute manager to combine your expert knowledge of data use with a deep understanding of regulatory frameworks to help us scope, build and launch a cutting-edge performance management framework for the Children & Young People Directorate
The ideal candidate will possess natural business acumen and creativity, be highly analytical, customer insight-driven and well versed in optimising complex BI capabilities. You will be tasked with designing and executing inventive strategic data architecture that improves the quality and effectiveness of the directorate, challenging the status quo and building for the long term. You will draw upon your skills and enthusiasm to lead and support the team to deliver innovative Business Intelligence solutions to help enable service insights and steer evidence-based direction of travel for the Directorate.

£55,554 - £57,750 per annum (PO8)
N.B: All appointments will be offered at the minimum spinal column point (SCP) for the grade of the role. The only exception to this will be when matching current salary (up to the maximum of the scale), which is subject to evidential proof.
