The primary focus of this role will be to work within an Infrastructure team supporting the council’s core technical infrastructure including VMWare virtualised servers, SQL failover cluster environments, Netapp storage & Cisco switching.

We are looking for someone who has experience working within a technical infrastructure team with skills including Microsoft SQL administration, VMWARE ESXi, Netapp storage administration, and Microsoft Windows Server & cluster support. The role will involve project work implementing new technologies within the infrastructure team and carry line management responsibilities for junior officers.

Experience of change management, incident and helpdesk escalation processes. You will have a proven ability to communicate effectively with strong problem solving & organisational skills, and a flexible approach in an ever-changing environment.
