You're going to have a big impact on what we do, so you'll be trusted to take ownership of your work. To deliver a better today. And to create a better tomorrow.

We're always looking for better ways of doing things. How can we make the most of our resources? Get vulnerable people back on their feet more quickly? Create new spaces our residents want to spend time in? These are just some of the types of projects that are under way across the council - your role will be to co-ordinate and manage the delivery of change projects to help them to achieve the best possible outcomes. Project Managers need to be highly motivated and able to work well with a variety of stakeholders at all levels.

We are recruiting for 2 permanent project manager within the Business Change Team.

What it's like working in our team…

The Business Change programme is a continuous programme of work aimed at enhancing service delivery to customers and improving outcomes whilst identifying and delivering significant savings.

This role will give the opportunity to build effective relationships with public, private, non-statutory and community stakeholders, and be a part of a programme of high-profile strategic projects.

You will be supported throughout your role and will be encouraged to undertake any relevant training and development.

You will be supported to carry out the following duties, responsibilities and training…

To provide project management expertise to help ensure the effective and efficient delivery of Business Change projects.

To manage the delivery of Business Change projects and related activities from initiation through to implementation; identifying interdependencies and managing risks to enable each service review to deliver the target savings and deliverables as set out in each project specification and scope, working with external consultants, programme boards and team members.

Project managers may manage more than one project, be asked to change projects or take on new projects as the needs of the Business Change programme demand.

The benefits you will experience are…

Regular opportunities for development and training.

Flexible and home-based working opportunities.

An inclusive and friendly working environment.

Discounted leisure centre and gym membership.

Supermarket discount.

What we're looking for…

We require highly motivated individuals to join the business change team to co-ordinate the effective and efficient delivery of change projects.

If you have strong project management experience with excellent planning, organisational and communications skills and want a role where you can really raise your profile and make an impact, we look forward to hearing from you.
