Independent Person (IP)
Broxbourne Borough Council is seeking to recruit for the role of Independent Person, to be involved in the process of dealing with complaints of alleged breaches of the Councillors Code of Conduct under its ethical standards.
If you are interested in helping to promote and monitor high standards in public life, serving the local community and upholding local democracy, and if you think you have the qualities to take on this role, we would like to hear from you.
The role is fixed-term for four years, subject to confirmation by Full Council meetings each year, at various locations within the Borough of Broxbourne. The current annual allowance for the role is £250 and travel expenses can be claimed for attendance at meetings.
