An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Temporary Accommodation Officer to join our busy Housing Needs Team, on a temporary contract to 31st March 2025.
We are seeking someone with experience of working directly with members of the public and working in collaboration with others to achieve positive results. You should have a good understanding of the issues faced by individuals who are homeless or in housing need.
The emphasis of the post will be working with clients placed in temporary accommodation to manage and support timely and positive move on into secured settled accommodation, taking into account the clients housing and support needs.
Ideally, you will have experience of frontline support to vulnerable clients facing a housing crisis, developing support or housing plans with clients. Working closely with housing needs officers to contribute to the decision-making process under the national legislation.
The successful candidate will have a strong focus on the needs of the people that are seeking assistance, whilst being able to manage customers expectations, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
You should be a strong team player who embraces change and is able to work flexibly in order to meet the needs of the service and the people that we assist.
