An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Homeless Support and Resettlement Officer to join our busy Housing Needs Team, on a permanent contract.
We are seeking someone with experience of working directly with members of the public and working in collaboration with others to achieve positive results. You should have a good understanding of the issues faced by individuals who are homeless or in housing need.
The emphasis of the post will be to provide enhanced support to clients accommodated in the Councils move on accommodation, with a medium to high support need. Meeting with them regularly at their home to deliver a person-centred plan agreeing all necessary steps to enable a positive move into sustainable long term settled accommodation.
You will have experience of working in partnership with specialist support providers to achieve positive outcomes for vulnerable clients. Providing frontline support, developing support or housing plans with clients, whilst working closely with housing needs officers to contribute to the decision-making process under the national legislation
The successful candidate will have a strong focus on the needs of the people that are seeking assistance, whilst being able to manage customers expectations, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
You should be a strong team player who embraces change and is able to work flexibly in order to meet the needs of the service and the people that we assist.
