Estate Services Coordinator


Odu-Dua Housing Association is a small dynamic black & ethnic minority (BME) housing association established in 1986. Our tenants are predominantly, but not exclusively, from an African and Caribbean background. We are based in Camden, North London with properties in Barnet, Brent and Camden with the majority of our stock on the Lithos Road Estate.

Lithos Road Estate is situated in NW3, just of Finchley Road and consists of 165 flats and houses owned by Odu-Dua, Clarion and Notting Hill Genesis. Odu-Dua provides the estate services at Lithos Road, on behalf of all three landlords.

This important role of Estate Services Co-ordinator is crucial to making this arrangement a success.

The Role

  • To effectively manage and co-ordinate the delivery of estate services including communal cleaning, gardening, car park management, pest control, CCTV, refuse collection, etc.
  • To provide an accessible single point of contact for all tenants on the estate in relation to the management of the communal areas and co-ordinate communications on issues affecting all three landlords on the estate.
  • To combat anti-social behaviour affecting the communal areas such as littering, graffiti, vandalism, etc.,
  • To be the “face of the partnership” when delivery estate services and represent this positively.

About You 

While estate management experience would be useful, it is not essential.  More important are solid customer services skills and the ability to communicate with everyone from residents to senior management and external stakeholders.

  • We are looking for a “people’s person”, so you must have proven direct face to face experience and the ability to deliver excellent customer care valuing diversity and inclusion.
  • You need to have good communication skills essential as you will be routinely dealing with tenants, other housing association staff, contractors, police, MPs, etc. 
  • You will have to be able to deal with difficult situations (angry / upset tenants, anti-social behaviour), arrange and chair meetings.
  • You will be monitoring contracts (i.e. cleaning, gardening, fire equipment, lifts, etc., have an understanding of service standards and the ability to manage performance.
  • You will have the skills to carry out tenant engagement activities such as meetings, surveys and arranging activities and events.
  • You will carry out daily inspections (this means being on your feet and outside for a long periods of the day).
  • You must be able to work independently in a lone working environment so you will have a clear understanding of health and safety practices.
  • You have the skills to organise/prioritise work, have the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines and targets.
  • You need a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages.
