Planning Officer (Career Grade Planner)

We are looking for key members of the East Area Planning Team that will be instrumental in transforming the Borough and opportunities available for residents.

In his role you will deal with planning applications covering a wide range of planning issue. You will have be required to have had experience within a similar role dealing with a range of applications types. You will need to show you can act on your own initiative and work with minimal supervision with an ability to prioritise and work to deadlines.

You should have excellent communication and negotiation skills. We are seeking an enthusiastic and well organised individual. You will be responsible for managing a varied caseload of planning applications, pre-applications requests and appeals.

As noted the right candidate will have previous Development Management experience of working with varying applications. As such, we are seeking on this position an officer to be able to fulfil the requirements set out in the attached JD / PS for P01 / P02 level.
