Administrative Officer

Based at Market Street, Newbury, the Mental Health Support Teams require a part-time Administrative Officer to work alongside out full-time Administrative Officer.  

The post holder will provide administrative and business support and perform a variety of duties for the Mental Health Support Teams (MHSTs).  The MHSTs are multi-disciplinary teams that offer a range of services under the Thrive Elaborated Model. The team includes a range of early intervention workers comprising of Primary Mental Health Workers, Education Mental Health Practitioners and Well-Being Outreach Workers. The teams have specialist support from a Senior BHFT CAMHS Practitioner and they are led by Senior Educational Psychologists.

The post-holder will need to be organised and efficient, ensuring professional and timely delivery of service. The post-holder should also be creative and enthusiastic about working in an innovative early intervention service for children and young people. The post-holder will assist team members in developing child friendly resources and signposting materials and develop content for use in marketing and advertisement of the MHST.

There will be daily contact with staff at all levels within the Council and with service users of the Council in the course of providing support or handling enquiries. There will be the opportunity for daily contact with a supervisor and planned monthly meetings. The post holder will be dealing with sensitive information on occasion which needs to be handled with discretion. Accuracy is very important. The post holder needs to be flexible and able to work to timescales where appropriate.
