Salary: Senior Practitioner - £34,629 - £37,782 per annum + MRS £7,000 per annum pro rata
Social Worker Level 2 - £32,142 - £33,686 per annum pro rata + MRS £7,000 per annum pro rata
Hours: Full-time 37 hours per week
Location: Working from home and any CBC offices, including Priory House, Shefford. You will be expected to attend a CBC office location a minimum monthly, and as needed to carry out your role, there are weekly opportunities to meet as a team

More about the role:
The South Locality Community Assessment Team for Older Adults is a highly professional Adult Social Care Team working across the Dunstable, Houghton Regis, and Leighton Buzzard areas of Central Bedfordshire. We are currently recruiting to our team and are looking for a Senior Practitioner and a Social Worker to join us. We maximise people’s independence by practicing in a person centred, strength-based manner with a strong focus on improving peoples futures.

Next year we will have access to the new Integrated Health and Care Hub in Dunstable where we will be based with NHS and other colleagues, and where we can work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary manner to ensure residents receive services that are seamless and work for them. Do you have the skills to join our team, and the passion to support people to be as independent as possible? As a social worker you will be with the Older Adults South Community Team working across Dunstable, Houghton Regis, and Leighton Buzzard localities of Central Bedfordshire. This role provides an opportunity to really make a difference and ensure we can engage people within their communities, and to ensure that they have the support they need to attain maximum independence.
You will be working in partnership with citizens, communities, stakeholders, and other organisations to offer an integrated approach to service delivery.
Do you have the skills to join our busy and multi-skilled Adult Community Assessment Team? This post is key in supporting and developing the day-to-day operation of the team and supporting the team managers in overseeing the continuous approach we have in improving and developing our practice. Working alongside your peers, you will be responsible for managing a small case load including s42 safeguarding enquiries and complex case work; ensuring the timely and proportionate allocation of work within the team; and providing supervision, support and guidance to staff.
You must have a recognised social work qualification and be currently registered with Social Work England. You will also have a minimum of three years post qualifying practice and experience. Your values will demonstrate excellent social work skills in practice and professional pride. We will support you to operate in an agile manner by providing modern IT equipment as well as generous annual leave, local government pension scheme, regular supervision, support to develop and ongoing training. Your role will combine some office-based working and working from home.
