Enabling Independence Team Worker - Move to Independence

The starting salary for this role is £26,080 per annum (on call allowance applicable) based on working 36 hours per week.

We are looking for an Enabling Independence Team Worker to join the Move to Independence Supported Housing Team.

This role is based in Guildford, whilst also covering houses in Waverley, Surrey Heath and Epsom. We are seeking someone who can support people with mental health needs in our shared supported housing service.

We provide support for people to develop daily living skills, accessing the community and linking to wider services with a person-centred focus to tenants for an average of a 2-year stay. We also offer time limited outreach support when they have moved on to their independent tenancies. We provide a limited out of hours on-call telephone pager service on a rota basis for which an on-call allowance is paid.

This role will operate and work alongside social care, mental health teams and housing providers, as well as a diverse range of community agencies and services. Our service supports people in their recovery, working with them to maximise their choices and independence in line with our commitment to the personalisation agenda.

This role will be part of a close, small, and supportive team where relevant experience would be beneficial. However, the ability to engage and work alongside and communicate effectively with people with mental health conditions to achieve their goals and independence is essential.

We can provide you with a wide range of training and development opportunities, regular supervision, essential business mileage, flexible benefits options together with the support of a small, friendly team who are passionate about supporting recovery

This is a rolling recruitment drive, therefore applications will be continuously reviewed on a rolling basis.
