Hours: Afterschool Club – Monday to Thursday 15:00-18:00 (flexible)

The Federated Governing Body of Church Hill and Low Hall Nursery School (Forest Alliance of Nursery Schools) are seeking to appoint an Assistant Play Workers. We are looking for fun, supportive, and enthusiastic individuals who are able to display initiative to join our team. Ideally, you should have previous experience of working with children and young people and good inter-personal skills. Have a basic awareness of Safeguarding and Health & Safety legislation and have the ability to work well as a member of a team and independently.
The Playworker role includes: Be responsible for the walking bus from Greenleaf Primary School, this will include collecting children from their classrooms and walking them to Church Hill Nursery School supervising the children, ensuring their safety at all times.
Engaging with children in aspects of play and conversation and therefore you would have the ability to adapt to the childs’ needs. Setting up activities for children aged 3-8 years old to optionally take part in. Meet and greet parents and provide them with feedback when required on their child’s time at the club, whilst at all times maintaining confidentiality.
The position is a casual contract but can be fixed for 1 year. Successful candidates will be recorded on our pool list and will be contacted when work is available.
The successful candidate will desirably have a relevant childcare qualification.
