An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our professional and enthusiastic Research team who oversees our research portfolio and ensures that our £14 million annual research spend is invested in innovative and ground-breaking breast cancer research. You will:
- Administer Breast Cancer Now’s response-mode grant funding schemes; provide advice and support to potential applicants and act as secretariat to review committees;
- Play a key part in the relationship management between the charity, the scientific community and other funding agencies;
- Support the launch and administration of new grant funding streams;
- Build strong relationships with our grant holders and help to monitor the research outputs and impacts of the research portfolio.
This is a diverse role and will offer scope to develop and lead specific projects that fulfil strategic ambitions of the Research team.
Given you will be responsible for administering an assigned proportion of our research portfolio and managing relationships with high-level stakeholders and senior scientists, you will have excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to develop effective working relationships with other staff members, researchers and people affected by breast cancer.
We’re Breast Cancer Now, the charity that’s steered by world-class research and powered by life-changing care. We’re here for anyone affected by breast cancer, the whole way through, providing support for today and hope for the future.

This role is primarily based in our London office. However, in line with our hybrid working practice, full-time staff members may choose to work up to three days per week from home. However, to support Breast Cancer Now’s commitment to a meaningful and positive induction process, staff members will be asked to consider coming into the office more frequently each week with their manager, during their initial period of employment.
