Land Charges Support Officer

We have an exciting and rare part-time opportunity to join our small team delivering the Local Land Charges Service for Bracknell Forest Borough

Bracknell Forest has an outstanding new town centre, attractive Green Belt countryside, villages and everything in between. There is lots of variety and high levels of development activity keep the Local Land Charges Service busy with searches and registrations.

What it's like working in our team…

Join our small, friendly team delivering property searches and curating the Local Land Charges Register.

The team work together to deliver results to set time-lines.

Previous experience of Local Land Charges would be a distinct advantage but is not essential and full training and support will be provided.

You will be supported to carry out the following duties, responsibilities and training…

Assist with carrying out the variety of procedures necessary to complete all searches received, in a timely and accurate manner.

Access databases and systems and liaise with other relevant departments in order to obtain the necessary information required to complete a search.

Assist private search companies wishing to undertake personal searches.

Deal with telephone and written enquiries in a helpful and professional manner.

Provide administrative functions for the section including recording and processing fees and reciepts for reconciliation.

What we're looking for…

We are looking for someone with:

A great eye for detail.

A team player who is able to use their own initiative and judgement.

Good IT skills and organisational abilities.

Customer focused and who will enjoy being part of the search process.

This is a pert time vacancy, working 16 hours per week, hours will be worked over 4 days per week. Start times are flexible but ideally 10 - 2pm or 1 - 5 pm.
