Capital Projects Officer
Starting salary £28,154pa with potential progression to £31,092pa on achieving designated skills and experience
37 hours per week (hybrid working)
An exciting opportunity has arisen to work within the Council’s Play Area and Parking Team as a Capital Projects Officer.
This is a key role as you will be responsible for delivering a number of high-profile projects from play area redevelopment to overseeing the installation of electric charging points.
We are looking for someone who is an experienced project manager who can work with our contractors to deliver improvement projects across our play areas and parking services. With experience of budget management and a keen interest in design and modernising play areas and parking design, you will be required to plan projects, often a year in advance.
Your communication skills will be crucial as you ensure that all project communications are accessible and comprehensive, as well as engaging with relevant stakeholders and addressing any concerns they may have. You’ll also have a clear team focus as you support other members of your department and others across the council. Your confidence and ability in your role will allow you to manage several projects at any one time, working of your own initiative and without instruction.
The ability to converse at ease with members of the public and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential in this post.
