The Council is seeking a driven and experienced Project Building Surveyor to join our Capital Projects team. You will contribute to ensuring that the Council’s assets are fit for purpose for staff, residents and visitors alike; and that we achieve our zero carbon target by 2030. 

You will be part of the Facilities & Technical Services department which has responsibility for maintaining and providing advice for an extensive and diverse portfolio of both operational and non-operational premises. The portfolio consists of office buildings, leisure facilities, car parks, commercial premises, bereavement services buildings and social housing properties.

Your main function will be as Lead Surveyor on a wide range of projects from RIBA stages 0 through 7, in accordance with the requirements of our capital investment programme. Projects may be complex and will involve a varied team of professionals. You will need excellent time management and communication skills to deliver a high standard of service to our internal client base.

In addition, duties will include professional services such as dilapidations; undertaking condition surveys; conducting feasibility studies; CAD work; and compiling and submitting statutory applications.
